Soooooo…..WELCOME TO MY FIRST EVER MONTHLY NEWSLETTER EVERYONE!!! I’m super excited to share with you what I’ve been doing this month!
First of all, I can't believe how quickly September flew by! I've officially had to say goodbye to summer, with all my amazing kayaking trips, hiking expeditions, and bike rides. It's starting to get chilly, and before we know it, there will be snow! Time flies when you’re having fun, that’s for sure!
I’ve made so many amazing friendships and met crazy legit people. I have been working on implementing mindsets like high standards and unconventional thinking into my life, and I’ve been learning as much as I can. It’s been a super busy/awesome month with lots of changes and exciting milestones, and I can’t wait to share it all with you!
Article I wrote✏

TKS🌎
Starting in September I felt like I was officially an innovator at The Knowledge Society, and it has been such an amazing experience! After only one month, it feels like my little tiny world has opened up into something so much bigger. I have already learned so many mindsets that have changed my life, I have made incredible friendships (shout out to Ciara Sejour who has been my constant source of motivation and happiness!😘) and I have learned about technologies that will revolutionize the way we live (Am I the only one that is excited?, cause just writing this I am jumping up and down!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Beginning in September I started to dive into Quantum Physics and Quantum Computing. I wrote my first article (linked above) and now I am really interested in how we can use Quantum Computing to make a legit change in our world. (And no, I am not talking about changing how fast Google is, or creating a new Snapchat). I’m talking about change on a global scale that will help billions of people, and will solve massive problems like climate change, world hunger, or cancer.
Learning To Code In Python💻
I began learning Python on Codecademy at the beginning of August, but I felt like I became proficient at coding starting in September. I can confidently say that I am an avid coder in Python (🎉)!
Ciara Sejour and I wrapped up a little coding project at the beginning of the month as well. Our goal: to code a fully functioning hangman game in Python. Did we succeed? Not exactly, but we learned a lot. We put our working code into a GitHub link so that anyone can check it out, or use it to work off of (we also included our word-list).
Running My First Half Marathon🏃♀️
I got into the incredible sport of running almost two years ago, and it was honestly the best decision of my life. I started only being able to run 1km, and eventually I worked my way up to being able to run 25km. So, on August 15th of this year, I signed up for the Kakabeka Half Marathon, and I did even better than I had anticipated. I placed 8th overall (out of over 200 runners) and top 3rd female. I ran a personal best of 1:35:49! It was very exciting, and definitely a big milestone in my life.
After a week and a half break from running (I was unbelievably sore from running so fast for so long), I started back at it. Now I’m training for a 25km trail race on October 2nd. My expectations aren’t as high for this race, because I’m not as experienced at running trails, but it has been a lot of fun training in the forest, watching the the leaves turn color and listening to the babbling brook!

WOW did September fly past quickly! Here are some of my goals for this upcoming month:
Crushing my 25km trail race!💪
Read Einstein’s EPR paper (My feelings right now about this = 😒, most likely my feeling while reading this = 🤔, but I know that my feelings after this will be =😍)
Finish a project that I will tell you all about next month (*HINT* it has to do with solar panels and creating a change in my school, maybe my whole city, possibly the whole province, and while I’m at it, the entire friggen country!)
